Just finished Slaughterhouse-Five. I've wanted to read it for years. I was disappointed, it didn't seem as good as a lot of people say. I thought Breakfast of Champions was better.
Just finished all the Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire) books. The last 1,700 pages were ok.
Has anyone read any of the following:
Neil Gaiman American Gods
James Robertson - Testament of Gideon Black
Patrick Rothfuss - Name of the Wind
Joe Abercrombie - The Blade Itself
Lev Grossman - The Magicians
Robert Jackson Bennett - City of Stairs
Erin Morgenstern - Night Circus
Kazuo Ishiguro - The Buried Giant
Need a recommendation for my upcoming vacation on the Cape.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
