As far as Beni sitting is concerned, based mostly on the fact that they are trying once again to shorten his stride which has to happen but is hurting him in actual competition at this point I can see sitting him. If you roll back the video to the last game he was in, you can literally see him trying to stay more upright and shortening his stride which absolutely has to happen. But the result trying to do it in actual game competition is that he is totally lost in the batter's box.
Add to that its obviously now effected his fielding discipline and they have to sit him. No choice. Maybe a few games, maybe not. Probably depends on what they see in the batting cage.
You know the BP is bad when OB and ECK are referring to Hembree as the closer.
Half the lineup doesn't hit well and we put up a lousy starting effort vitually every other game. Add to that the BP will blow every other save opportunity. Death by a thousand cuts is a good description.
Hembree coming back will help, but mercy, this team needs a real closer. Eovaldi has the job when he returns, but the guy is as fragile as eggs.
Velasquez has been mediocre as a reliever (4.29 ERA in 13 games and 21 innings).
He has been beyond terrible as a starter (6.95 ERA in 8 games and 22 innings).
If you’re going to keep him on the staff, he should only be used in long relief.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough
Since Bogie was picked as a replacement for the ASG, he's looked like crap at the plate.
Radio guys are saying Cora indicated that the Sox may go the opener route after the break.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough
This season is over. It’s ok as long as management knows how to handle it.
