Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1
The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.
Just Frank German, right?
He was a bit of a let down, but he's still in the system and may surprise.
I thought Ottavino was worth the $8+M when we tradeed for him, but he did not do as well as I hoped he would.
He wasn't a complete bust, and probably did better than Richards, Perez and Andriese, who cost about $20M combined.
Sox 4 Ever
Until Bloom came along, Red Sox fans had never seen much of those "buying prospects" deals. I think that's part of the reason some of them flip out a bit about the Benintendi and Renfroe trades.

Verdugo JBJ Suzuki .Bogey Correa Kike Devers .Trade new prospects and Bobby to Oakland for Pitching .I honestly think we need to replace Vaz this winter but might be unlikely.

Everyone on the Yankee prospect side predicted he would move to relief for 2020 before the season got wiped out due to COVID. Cashman handed him over for cap relief because they knew he was going to be a reliever. Makes little sense that the Sox didn’t see that. German is a high octane RHP with a devastating change up yet zero other secondary offerings. He has a slider that sucks and dabbled with a curve that sucks. He will be a FB-CH reliever akin to Tommy Kahnle once they make the inevitable move
By "new prospects" are you referring to the Renfroe trade? If so, Binelas and Hamilton don't have a ton of trade value.
Per BTV:
Dalbec 13.5
Binelas 4.9
Hamilton 5.4
Bassitt 17
Brown 3.3
Puk 2.1
Trivino 1.1
I threw Seth Brown in there just because if the Sox trade Dalbec, I'm not sure who would start at 1b for the Sox.
