When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

Renfroe has come up in some big spots and has not delivered. Arroyo has been barely adequate. At least he's made some good defensive plays.

Dalbec should have been given some more AB's. Not starting him against LHP is weird IMO.

    Agreed.

Renfore's .421 OPS and singular RBI in this series might need to take a seat on the bench, Dalbec at 1B, Schwarber in LF, Verdugo in RF...

I think the hope was that Renfroe would do well vs lefties. Sitting Renfroe vs righties works against the notion of playing Dalbec vs lefties.

Sitting Verdugo for Dalbec made more sense, in terms of L-R splits, but Verdugo caught fire.

At this point, I'd play Dalbec over Renfroe no matter who is pitching.

It doesn't have to be Renfroe OR Dalbec. I would have sat Schwarber yesterday and played Dalbec. Can always bring in Schwarber once the LHP is out.

True, but the way renfroe is hitting and hitting into DPs, I'd choose to sit Renfroe, who could also be used to PH later.

Schwaber is 3-21 against Houston. Outside of his slam he has done nothing. 3-21 is not hitting.

    It's better than ...

    7 for 34 with 7 GIDP (Renfroe)

    and

    0 for 11 (Dalbec)

I’m not disputing that about Bobby D, and Renfroe. I’m just saying that Schwaber going 3-21 is not hitting.

I think he has kept a big weapon on the bench.

But Renfroe is going for a DP record.

Indeed, but with one of those 3 hits being a granny, I'm not benching him over 3-21.
