Sorry for your and your family's loss.

Sorry to hear that. My grandfather was the same way. Not sure if I would be Red Sox fan without him

I have tickets to Monday's game in Baltimore. I plan on driving 4 hours each way that day. The weather forecast calls for thunderstorms being around all day. Should I sell the tickets? How long do I wait until making a decision?

I appreciate the sentiment. I just don’t want to spend all day driving if it’s for no reason.

The best decision I ever made was to stop at two. All my coworkers are like "isn't this the best time of your life?" NO! Kids can be insufferably annoying! It's like I have two little overly emotional mini me's running around that can't stop fighting with each other. For all the amazing superlatives I can throw at them, it's frustrating as all get out. Just dropping them off at junior lifeguard camp this morning took mediating a dumb fight in the backseat.

I stopped at one, and guess what - the one, my 28 year old daughter, is still living with us and so is her 2 year old son.

Thankfully we all get along most of the time, and having them here with us is usually more of a pleasure than a pain.

I got lucky that the two boys absolutely love each other (so far). Helps that the oldest lives with me full time, and the youngest lives with his mom (different moms) full time, so there's some "distance makes the heart grow fonder" there. But they are goddamned exhausting. They never get tired, ask a million questions, and demand attention 100% of the time. Kids are great, but they're also a huge responsibility and require lots and lots of sacrifice.

One sounds like a dream. When it's one on one time, it's a lot easier and much more fun.
