Pretty monumental occasion then, regardless of your personal views about him

Yes, as was our National Championship my freshman year watching Joe Montana rise from being our 3rd string QB to beating Earl Campbell in the Cotton Bowl back in the '77-'78 season.

I also got to see our B-ball team get to the final 4 with 5 NBA players on the roster- only to lose to BYU and Danny Ainge.

Sounds like fun. I got to see what was hopefully the rejuvenation of our basketball team at UConn this past season, albeit I could not attend games in person. I went to just about every game during my first 3 years, but the first 2.5 years worth of games were rather ugly. The women also somehow did not win a national championship while I was there. Speaks to the growing parity in the women's game, I suppose. At least I got to go to a couple top 5 showdowns on the women's side, against teams like Louisville and Notre Dame. I missed the Oregon game in February 2020 when Sabrina Ionescu came to town, but that was only because I was flying back from the Super Bowl in Miami

I loved my time at ND, but the high male to female ratio made it tough.

For 9 months now, I have already had my job lined up, which I will start next month. Since I am also moving in order to start that job, that is what has taken up most of my energy and excitement for most of the last school year. Furthermore, I have been taking classes online since the onset of COVID-19 last March. Since I really haven't been on campus, it just doesn't feel like I'm even in school anymore. So, the peers of mine who are excited to actually be able to celebrate in-person this year after the year we've all been through are well within their rights. It's just for me, it's no big deal. No pictures, no show, no attention. I just want to be invisible, walk on stage when it's my turn, wait for it to be over, then go home and officially divert the rest of my attention to starting my new life in Boston.
Congrats Thunder! Good luck with the move and the new job!

Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Never fear child. Your master is present.

Now every one go shit in their hats!
"Hating the Yankees like it's a religion since 94'" RIP Mike.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
