I started watching this show on Hulu today called "A Teacher." It's about an affair that a HS english teacher embarks on with one of her students. None of the events that have transpired through 2 episodes are even remotely realistic. The night of the first day of school, she gives him a ride home from a diner. Like wtf. That doesn't happen in reality. It's basically glorified porn.
But yet, it's also very addicting.
I just finished Shtisel (on NETFLIX). It's very enlightening. Great acting and apparently very realistic, according to my good neighbor, who is Jewish.
Probably not for everyone.
I also started watching a series called Evil. Not all that great but it's keeping me watching.
When you say it's gonna happen now
When exactly do you mean?
I started watching "Evil". It's basically a religious "X-Files." which was a show I loved the first few seaons. "Evil" really could have been named "The Cross Files."
I do like it, although the casting of Aasif Mandvi does seem odd given his previous big role was being a goofball correspondent on "The Daily Show".
And in no version of reality am I considered hip...
"Song Exploder"
Netflix docu-series about the origins of some hit songs.
Season one had only 4 episodes, and I never heard of two of the songs. I like the idea for the show, and it is fun and informative, as the artists tell you how they wrote songs, their inspirations, and even some of the original lyrics/music that was scrapped. . But there isn't enough of it yet...
I recently watched 'The Queens Gambit". I know absolutely nothing about chess but this show was awesome. I binged the whole thing in a day.
So season 4 of "Big Mouth" dropped on Netflix last night.
Am I the only one who thoroughly enjoys this remarkably immature series about he nightmares of puberty?
