I don't think I've had a concussion since high school. The MRI came back normal.

    Maybe that is the cause.

My older sister suffers from horrible migraines, and the doctor told her the cause was from a concussion. The only time in her life she ever experienced a concussion was nearly 40 years prior when the two of us were thrown from a carnival ride when we were maybe 5 and 7 years old. (Oh those 1970's safety standards!)

I didn't get one, and I can barely recall the incident. The ride was like a Scrambler, but the carts also spun around. I remember getting slammed around a lot inside the cart and then being on the ground underneath it, crying a lot the whole time.

But my sister was the one who got concussed and I had nothing, which became sort of a theme of our lives from that point forward when it came to physical injuries and ailments...

    Was it the Tilt-a-Hurl (Tilt-a-Whirl)?
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

And you liked the experience of being thrown to the ground so much that you decided to take up riding motorcycles without wearing a helmet?

I remember going to Kings Castleland in Whitman MA with mom. After riding the Tilt-a-Whirl, we had to leave because she felt so awful. We spent about an hour at MacDonalds on the way back just so that she could stop the spins.

Why where a helmet when there's a good chance that you're going to die riding those things regardless?

Exactly, and I'm not sure a possible slower death is preferable.

Seeing people I know traveling all over the US for no genuine reason on social media. Other than going to exercise, I haven't left the house since at least August. I've sacrificed the entirety of my final year of college, and was ok doing so. It's just very disheartening and frustrating to see my classmates blatantly disregarding everything. At least nobody's going back to campus until January

Haven't you been golfing at the club this summer?

Weren't you the guy talking about your right to go work out at the club early on?

Rules for thee, but not for me?

    Sorry! Not sorry

Things that "grind my gears" / chap my ass?

Politicians that call for "lock downs," LECTURING us not to GO ANYWHERE or do anything WITH ANYONE, then go OUT TO DINNER, or get together with THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY.

Meanwhile... The little guy gets CRUSHED & arrested for trying to open his business, while the BIG BOX BILLIONAIRES get to do as they please.

There IS NO SCIENCE saying that Target or AMAZON is safer than a local SMALL BUSINESS restaurant, but real science doesn't matter.

The only thing that matters is HOW MANY MILLIONS YOUR INDUSTRY HAS TO THROW AT POLITICIANS to keep your multinational business rolling, while the little guy goes broke, loses all hope, and finally offs himself.

There IS NO SCIENCE saying that big lines at packed stores at Target, Trader Joe's, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, AMAZON, or any other BIG BUDINESS behemoth, is safer than going to dinner at your local diner, but THEY HAVE THE $$$$MULTI-MILLIONS to get their way.

Small business gets CRUSHED!!! & The big boys get bigger and bigger.

This should not be controversial as nothing I've said is not 100% true, but this will likely get tossed?

What "GRINDS MY GEARS?" IN A BIG WAY?

*The government arbitrarily and capriciously picking winners and losers in this staggering economy.

    * The little guy getting pushed past the edge of extinction.

    * The uber-rich getting to expand their business at the expense of the little guy just hanging on.

    * politicians making COMPLETELY ARBITRARY decisions on who and who can not compete for business, based on NO SCIENCE.

    * POLITICIANS who can make ARBITRARY and CAPRECIOUS decisions to lock-down the economy ....

WHILE COLLECTING THEIR $200,000 PLUS salaries.....

IF THEY HAD THE COURAGE OF their convictions, they would not accept their outrageous salaries.

We are in a very frightening place when a local politician can shut you down, while letting the BIG BOYS DO BIDINESS WITH NO INTERFERENCE!

again.... give me the SCIENCE that proves Target is more safe than Joe's Tackle Shop, the local diner, or the local bowling ally?

That SCIENCE does not exist, but too many don't, care.

Who gives a fuck if Joe at Joe's Diner offs himself because he's worked 25 years at his struggling diner, and is now losing everything he ever worked for?

Pardon me, but this stuff really

    grinds my gears!

If you REALLY give a shit?

    October:
SAN FRANCISCO — Amazon said Thursday that nearly 20,000 of its U.S. employees had tested positive, or had been presumed positive, for the coronavirus since the pandemic started spreading through the country this year.

    How many now?

NOTE: This post makes no political references!
    Not one political party mentioned.

If you are a "sensitive guy or gal," please don't read, as this will snag you.

Stick to THE ISSUE! The little guy getting CRUSHED, while the UBER-RICH get richer, and this post just might get your waning interest?

No, that was my favorite ride until about 2015, when my stomach started sending me messages.

The ride I was on way back when was like a scrambler, in that the carts went in-and-out on the circle like they were part of a sten-o-graph, byut also spun around a central axis on the edge of the arm. (Tilt-A-Whirls have no arms and the cart spins on an individual circular track affixed to a larger circular track.)

Anyway, this ride threw us both clear. I don't recall whether or not it had seat belts or restraints. (Tilt-A-Whirls have bars to hold you in and do not use seat belts or other restraints.)

The scientists don't have a handle on this virus, but we are supposed to believe that moron politicians who can't count without using fingers and toes know what is best for us and will act in a non-partisan fashion. Politicians always act in a partisan way --always. It is who they are. And their actions are directed toward pleasing their donors first. Their constituents are only a concern at election time. Every crisis is an opportunity for them to get richer and more powerful at the expense of the little guy. You may consider yourself a Democrat or Republican or libertarian or socialist, but if you have to work for your survival , you are all in the same boat -- neither party gives a shit about you. But they'll have you arguing about masks, the environment, racism, religion and on and on... dividing you into camps and promising that they can improve your lives or save you from the victimhood that they created... and millions are foaming at the mouth in anger and hatred at their neighbors and fellow Americans. We have been played for suckers for a really long time.
