    Agreed. Just pointing it out

Lobster Tails for lunch and Beef Wellington for dinner courtesy of the generosity of my Brother and Sister-in-Law who sent the gift as a Thank You for doing their taxes.

    They are awesome!

Geeky, but awesome! Not that there's anything wrong with geeky.

Damn! Two dinners? How about doing mine! You're cheaper than TurboTax!

Just curious. Have you ever been through the eye of one?

Yes I have. Also seems like you took my comment out of context

The eye isn’t a big deal at all. Now, being in the eyewall of a hurricane is another matter...

Ha. Right that is. Now, you got a way of getting into the eye of one without passing the eyewall? (I think you may have been around for H. Carol in 1956, when everyone around here went outside at mid-afternoon when the sun came out. Bad mistake!)

Well, the tangent path could put you in the eyewall without ever seeing the eye.

And Carol was many years before I was born...

Yeah, but I want you in the eye, youngster!

Hurricanes in the 50s and even in the 60s in NE were particularly dangerous because weather forecasting was, compared to today, pretty primitive. A lot of boats got 'caught out' in Carol because there really weren't serious warnings until the morning it hit. Same with one that got here around 1960 (can't recall the name). We didn't get let out of school until noon, and the hurricane hit that afternoon. Compare, say, Gloria in the 80s--that was being tracked and warnings issued almost a week in advance.

Gloria was the first hurricane I remember...
