I really know nothing about her or the royal family so I can't comment on her life. However the idea of a royal family in this day and age (especially in a first would country) seems silly to me.

Agree bkz. I’m a republican. However I have respect for her commitment to service and how she carried herself doing so for so long. As for the rest of them, to paraphrase Lewis Carroll’s Queen of Hearts, off with their heads.
