    7/27 vs. Kansas City

    Dear Red Sox,

    Give up less than 9 runs, score more than 10. I would greatly regret the necessity of plowing your wives.

    Sincerely,

    YOTN

    PS: No, actually, I wouldn't regret that at all.

    - From the 2004 ALCS Game 4 Gamethread. A reminder that no game is over until the final out is recorded, and things will always get better. Misspellings unchanged as a reminder that Yankees fans are just terrible.

    I hope Youk is back. Ellsbury will be for sure. Who or which 2 will sit this time? I hope not Pedroia!

    It would be good to see our old friend Spudboy join a game thread.

    BTW I liked that Lackey had showed some heart the other day offering his services as a reliever, hard to see these days with all those divas out there in the majors;

    Let's go John!

    From the Globe after last night's game:

    Francona indicated that Kevin Youkilis would be out again tomorrow. Expect Pedroia back at cleanup.

    Works for me. Bummer to hear Youk is still gonna' be out but on ESPN it says he is DTD, so I hope he comes back strong and not headed for the DL.
