You know. Simon and Garfunkel is the one band that just really hits me when I hear a song by them. I instantly think I need to listen to the song I'm listening to, and more of their songs right away. They put me in a place no other band does.........

Dillon Dylan does that to me too....... A Hard Rain is Gonna Fall, the Times they are a Changing.

    CCR kills me too.....

What songs by Robin Trower the Odds.....? I haven't heard of those groups......
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
    In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
    In our yellow submarine

We should do a game night song thread.

One person posts one song for the game....... and we all check it out...

Robin Trower - heavy blues/rock. He was originally the guitar player for Procol Harum.

Check out 'Day of the Eagle' for starters.

Odds - 'power pop' with some of the best lyrics I've ever heard.

Check out 'Someone Who's Cool' for starters.

Just admit it, you're a huge Cattle Decapitation fan.

While The Smiths, U2, the Stones, Zep, The Cure (early angst only), Dylan, Hendrix, Clapton, The Doors, Neil Young, and Belle & Sebastian hold dear places in my heart, this is my top 10:

    1. Sonic Youth
    2. The Who (my fave from ages 16-29 and where the "moon" comes from in my moniker)
    3. The Velvet Underground (and Lou Reed solo)
    4. Leonard Cohen
    5. The Beatles
    6. Mazzy Star (I want to marry Hope Sandoval)
    7. Pink Floyd
    8. The Talking Heads
    9. The Psychedelic Furs
    10. The Grateful Dead

It does, but not enough to outweigh Celine.
