Good game iortiz. Don't think it came easy for me. I had 3 position players shut down with injury.

Congratulations to Thunder! The competition was not easy.

Adam, a check for your winnings will be mailed tomorrow morning. I would suggest using the winnings to take your new crush to dinner, but since she is a Yankee fan, save it for something else.

    Thanks!

Not a bad idea... her birthday is Sunday, and mine is the Sunday after. Seems like a good time to acquire some money.

I am assuming that each of the TalkSox members who participated in the Fantasy Baseball league will participate again in 2017. If not, please drop me a line.

If other TalkSox members would like to join, please let me know. I would like to replace some of the non-TalkSox owned teams as most of those teams were neglected and became quickly non-competitive.

I would like to see some of our vocal statheads join the league. Put your money where your mouth is and try your stuff against some of us traditionalists. Fantasy is all about stats. It should be right up your alley. It doesn't take more than a few minutes a day, so I call BS on the "I am too busy" excuse. Don't be cowards. I am throwing down the challenge. You know who you are.

    Is there a draft day?

    How are the points tabulated?

I've never been in a baseball league- just NFL long ago.

You just submit your line-up every day?

Do you play head-to-head games of just total points for the day or year?

I'm totally a novice at fantasy baseball.

Yes, there is a set draft day with bench spots. You play head to head for a week against another team. You get a point for each category you win for that entire week (hits, rbi, k's, WHIP, saves, etc). You set your lineup each day.

Biggest difference to fantasy football is that you are looking at your lineup almost daily rather than once a week.

I feel that you guys would be happier with me out of the league, given the fact that I've reached the championship both times, so of course I'm back in.

The tail end of the season might get a bit chaotic, since I'll be moving to college.

    Starting with the excuses early.

After playing in 2-3 fantasy leagues every year for the previous 7 years, I took last year off from fantasy.

I may never go back. It was too stressful.

Stressful? You teach math, but Fantasy Baseball causes you stress?

I fail to see a different between math and fantasy baseball.
