"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

3 lefty bats and no Pablo and no Leon against a righty starter.

With Pomeranz on the mound, the Sox need to swing some big bats tonight, especially against the Astros who are likely to pound Pom.

14 pitches in the first inning. Need to keep that down and be able to give us 7

I whined at the outset tonight and a lot in the last game, but I really liked the first two innings of this game, especially given they played a night game in Philly last night and are at Houston--best in the AL--tonight. Excellent start by Pomeranz whom I have bashed endlessly, and both times hard hit balls with RISP, to say nothing of Pedroia stealing 2b to be eligible to be RISP.

Definitely rooting for our guys and plan to do no more whining.

Well it's about time the Sox scored a run.

Hitting into DPs is the Red Sox trademark.

Pom turned a nice one on Altuve.

This offense continues to struggle. I just wonder if Pom can continue to hold this 1 run lead

I am sorry for repeating myself, but we need to add a bat.
