The Red Sox announced that they have activated struggling third baseman Pablo Sandoval from the disabled list and designated him for assignment.
Good move for both sides ... now which big bang will be coming ... a trade or a promotion. (please say promotion)

Sandoval is midway through five-year, $95 million contract. Including the $5 mil buyout on 2020 option, he's owed approximately $49 million.

Still stunning to me how many people wanted Sandoval signed in the first place. Can not possibly believe Sox baseball ops wanted him.
Please, no more personal attacks about fatties that have no interest in being useful for the remainder of their 8 digit contracts. It's not polite. He's out the door. Let him commence his late era Marlon Brando phase immediately. My guess is that some restaurant on Federal Hill will be very busy today.
