Would you rather we suck now, lose the division, waste Sale in the Wild Card game, then have to face Houston in the ALDS? Didn't think so.
I doubt that was the alternative he would have suggested.
It could be argued that they peaked early last season.
They certainly didn't show up in the ALDS.
