The concept of eternal recurrence always blew my mind.

I read a great book about it, and of course can't remember which one, but it expertly took apart all the evidence and virtually proved that the official story could not be true. I'm not sure I believe it was a UFO though, or that they had aliens at Area 51.
    Weatherballoon or experimental aircraft.

    Vonnegut not even once.

Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

That's for sure. But if you're born once, why can't you be born twice?

I credit KV with turning me into a voracious reader in high school. I hated reading before reading him and Jerzy Kozinski's the Painted Bird.
I've never read Kozinski. I'll have to put him on my list.

There is no physical evidence that this has ever happened despite what the Bible says.

I remember liking Breakfast of Champions and not liking/not getting Slaughterhouse Five.

I read Post Office by Bukowski - good stuff.

Didn't Kozinski write Being There, and kill himself?
    Priorities:
    1. Yankees lose
    2. Red Sox win

Philip K Dick is good for all these mindbending mental gymnastics, but his prose is really, really bad.

It wasn't right after writing that novel.

He had been accused of plagerism several times, including for The Painted Bird.

He was very sick and dying, as I remember, before killing himself. He left a note that read....

I was just trying to come up with writers from a similar sphere. I think Vonnegut and Pynchon are overrated as hell.

I'm not a huge Bukowski fan, but his writing is enjoyable if you're in the mood for it. And yes, the majority of his fans are early to mid 20's burgeoning alcoholics.
