Futures Game on at 4 today on MLB Network.
Dalbec with his 23rd tater of the season today.
Only one player in all of baseball has more rbi’s Than dalbec .... JD Martinez.
Pretty amazing.
My boy Reyes did it again 7 innings 2 hits. 0 BB's 0 Runs, 6 K's. Sox Prospects probably don't know who he is. ERA 1.79.
2-2 For Bobby D, up to .265.
I'm starting to think that the Red Sox will resign Bogaerts to a long term contract and that CJ Chatham will be moved to 2b and will be the eventual starter at that position.
Last night...

Shawaryn pitched a nice game today.
Really hoping desperate dave does not trade him.
Houck pitched his best game of season, against a real good team. That Astros A+ team is the best young Pitching squad in the Carolina League. The kid he went up against Pitched No-Hit ball for 5 innings, and they threw a 1 hitter for 10 innings.

Shawaryn and Houck had great nights. The Red Sox need to hold on to both of them--they will need cost controlled starters. I think Shawaryn will be in the Red Sox rotation in 2020 -- Houck could follow in 2021. With Shawaryn, Houck, and Groome (who has big time upside despite the delay in his development) the Red Sox have quality young pitching and much stronger minor league pitching depth than most people give them credit for.
"Hating the Yankees like it's a religion since 94'" RIP Mike.
"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
