That stinks. Tough break for Didi and the Yankees.

This is going to significantly damage the Yankees ability to hit a bunch of meaningless solo home runs when they get blown out by seven runs in Oakland.

Haha Youk. Didi has been told Players with a similar injury can play through this, but he could barely move the wrist when he arrived at the park and needed a cortisone injection. My assumption is that he will try to play with it but be pretty limited. It’s a big blow.

Now the logic move will be Torres to SS Walker to 2B and Torreyes as the utility guy

Didi says he thinks there's a high chance he's ready for the postseason - it's a pain tolerance issue. We'll see what happens but I wouldn't say he's "likely" out for the postseason.

Says he’ll play by the end of the week. We shall see

With a wrist injury, I can't imagine that he'd be able to swing normally in that short a period of time. I'm not the doctor here, but it sounds more like wishful thinking than anything else.

Agreed Kimmi. Cartilage injuries don’t lead to structural problems short term, but they do lead to pain. It’s his throwing wrist too.

So much for doom and gloom. Didi was cleared for baseball activities and will play in the Sox series
