    Lots of wet weather here.

If the game gets played today I hope Big Dick shows up.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

    Yea it was.

Always nice to see Porcello get out of the first unscathed also.

We need Pedey back badly. Nunny is a guy capable of giving Devers a day or two off at 3rd. We would do just as well as put a port-o-potty at 2nd and hope the hit baseball bangs into the thing and ricochets over to 1st.

    What up Sox75?

Lots of new people on the board, that usually happens when another board closes. You come over from another board?

Wonder why Bogaerts isn't in. Two days back after more than two weeks off and he gets a rest? Hope his leg isn't bothering him. Seriously, with Betts out with a sore hamstring you would think arguably our best hitter should be in.

    Hanley is PISSED about something!!!

Seems he was upset about that LOW & on the outside of the plate strike, & said something to the home plate ump.

Looks like he started getting into it with the C. Sucre

I thought they were joking around. Maybe not at the end with the ump. But Hanley yelling explatives after a swinging strike isn't anything new.

If I had to guess, his back stiffened up on him overnight and he is getting the day to loosen it up.

Just a 51 year Sox fan from Boston. Love the Sox. It's a bit more than an obsession. Tough having nobody out here on the west coast to talk Sox. Move out here at 20. I can live without talking the B's (another passion). There are always plenty of clinging Pats & Celtics fans to jaw with anywhere.

BUT the Sox are life itself. 35 years out here without a regular daily fix. Gets pretty tough!

Same story here. Haven't lived in the East Coast in decades. Here to chat with people who are equally obsessed.

They could have been joking, but Hanley took a LONGGGGGGG look back & was yapping at the ump after that pitch. I got the feeling that Sucre said something to Hanley that got under his skin. Maybe, "just get in the box & stop your bitching.?"

Who knows, but Hanley was pissed, & they were jawing.
