    5/10 vs Yanks

    Lineup pending

Let's just play a bs-less game without some dickwad reliever throwing a game away. That's how the MFY pile up wins lately.

he was too shallow on the gardner triple last night and got burned big time.
benching JBj because of offense woes definitely affects the D. but it's also hard to argue that point when both HanRam & MM went yard in the same game.

as for tonights game - Erod please don't nibble. we need 7 out of you big guy.
    thanks.

With a man on 3b and 1 out, you don't play deep on Gardner. The fault lay with Kimbrel throwing 7 straight fast balls and no knuckle curves.

JBJ was absolutely not missed last night and won't be missed tonight.

Tonight it's ERod's 5.29 ERA vs. Sabathia's 1.39 ERA, so our work is cut out for us. A week ago he held the Indians scoreless for 6 innings, 6 days earlier he held the Angels to 1 run in 7 innings. He mixes his pitches, keeps the ball low, and has great control. ERod probably has better stuff, but little control and not much desire to keep the ball low.

Don't the coaches position the players? Him being too shallow is tough to blame on Mookie.

This. It doesn't matter who was in the game there in CF, they weren't catching that ball with the way the coaching staff had them positioned.

The Yanks are excellent at making pitchers throw strikes, so E-Rod might as well forget the finesses stuff tonight or he'll be through in the 5th... and you know what that means... 4 more innings of our suddenly ineffective relief staff. (right now Yanks big reliever advantage)

Shouldn't Wright have gotten back by now? And how long to we have to wait for Thornburg to see action??
