Wow, so they said on NESN that decision to steal 3B yesterday was Vazquez just being stupid, it wasn't a called play. What an idiot.

Not "at least." It was great even though I thought evil thoughts throughout. ERod did that too against the Yankees--took over 20 pitches in the first.

Yup. I have had similar opinions of him.

He is kind of like Buch Lite as well.

Of course Buch had superior stuff when he was "on".

Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

He has pulled some rocks so far this season. He has had a bad case of head up ass disease.

He has been nothing short of horrible this season. I literally can't even think of a positive about him. He's been bad offensively, defensively, on the bases. I don't know what his deal is

Sorry, but, while I agree it was not a good play, my guess is that Vaz thought he could get a big jump against that shift. He did beat the throw, but overslid 3B. I'm pretty sure it didn't cost anything because the next three batters K'd, popped out, and K'd.

Its still stupid for a below average runner, whose slow to make the first out attempting to steal third base. You also don't know those results would've been the same if Vazquez stayed put.

It seems like our starting rotation loves giving up walks

That’s a pretty stupid take. When you lose significant fastball velocity you lose your margin for error. He therefore needs to nibble more
