1. Andrew Benintendi (L) LF
2. Xander Bogaerts (R) SS
3. Mitch Moreland (L) 1B
4. J.D. Martinez (R) DH
5. Dustin Pedroia (R) 2B
6. Rafael Devers (L) 3B
7. Brock Holt (L) RF
8. Sandy Leon (S) C
9. Jackie Bradley Jr. (L) CF
Still no Mookie.
Leon is catching Pom tonight. Pom will be dealing.
WIN!
It's to the credit of Cora and the team as a whole that they are 6-2 without Mookie Betts, who most of us agree is the team MVP this year so far.
Still, this is troubling.
Six lefty bats in the lineup vs. righty McCullers. Also interesting that Pedroia is back in there and batting 5th.
The bottom third--Holt, Leon, and JBJ--has actually hit pretty well recently.
Thanks, Kimmi, for providing a complete lineup.
Tonight, Pom is going to have diamonds on the soles of his shoes.

Hey pomeranz try not to get smoked this time around. How about keeping us in the game? Don’t suck so much
This series is a good test for this team. A worthy opponent although they haven’t played well recently.
Henceforth Pom's new name is poopy pants pomeranz

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
Anything new on Mookie or are the Sox still pretty quiet on the topic?
Actually I just checked...Cora is just blathering along....more or less saying nothing. At some point if he does not get back into the lineup lets say in the next couple of days, the blather is going to stop buying the Sox time.
Pedey has just been made a late scratch, like just now. Swihart moving to 2nd. Not sure about the other details just yet.

I like Swi a bunch but him playing 2nd base makes me nervous.
Mainly about turning 2.
