To me at least regular season, Cora has done a terrific job with this team. Once you realize that his tactics are dependent on KNOWING most of the teams we face can't pitch AT ALL, what he does in-game makes a good deal of sense.

I really am interested to see how he handles post season play. But I really can't find fault with how he handles in-game strategy, how the team fielding and base running has improved and how well the team has handled injury.

Still some screwy base running but nothing like what it was under Farrell.

Correct, I was looking to far ahead, overlooking the no DH interleague games.

5 innings one hit , 12 of 15 outs by K. Nice to see Sale is back.

I don’t pity them too much, 3 games over .500 in August isn’t exactly something to crow about. Reminds me of when the Padres won the west at 82-80. I think that was 2005. I’d be embarrassed as a fan if my team was that mediocre and made the postseason just because everyone in my division was a little more terrible than me

That fat fuck sabathia’s pitching shutout baseball. I thought the rangers would hit him today.

    I wish J.D. was a better hitter.

It is truly amazing we have JD Martinez and Mookie Betts in the same lineup

Missed opportunity there... and it looks like Sale is coming out, meaning this could get dicey.

Thought they said last night Sale was on a 60-70 pitch count today, which would be right where he's at.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

Haven’t been able to get more runs off Cobb.

I didn't hear anything. I would run him out for another, he is mowing them down.
