    10/26 World Series game 3

The Sox hit the road, and will be force to sit possibly JDM. I wouldn't do that. JD bat is too much to not have in the lineup.
Big Dick Rick looks to leave LA in a 3-0 hole.

    Porcello and Betts with HRs

    Sox lineup
    1b-Holt, 2b-Betts, 3b-Devers,SS-Bogey, LF-Beni, CF-JBJR, RF-JD, C-Vasquez/Leon...I would do that just for the fun of it.

Under NL rules, having Holt on the bench is really important. Starting him at 1b is kind of a waste.

You need to get your best hitter up in the first inning, I would go with:

    Betts CF
    Benintendi LF
    Porcello P
    Martinez RF
    Bogie SS
    Devers 3B
    Moreland 1B
    Holt 2B
    Leon C

Are you sure that you wouldn't prefer to see Slick Rick leading off?

JBJ has been hitting the ball hard, even though most have been for outs, recently.

My guess is Beni and JBJ were going to sit one game out of the next 3, with Betts at 2B for the other.

This was Beni's turn. Maybe the pitcher going tonight is the kind Cora felt JBJ would be better at hitting.

I trust Cora totally on this one.

It makes perfect sense to have JD in left, with Porcello on the mound and the Dodgers loaded up with lefty hitters.

This way you have JBJ and Mook in their natural positions and it makes for the best outfield configuration.

It's not fun time, until we win 4 games.

Buehler's splits are nearly identical v righties or lefties. I would start Pierce because Moreland can no longer catch up with a fastball.
I think that this game will be our only loss in the series. The Dodgers will be desperate. They hit a lot of HRs and Porcello surrenders a lot of them. I have said Sox in five from the beginning and I am sticking to it. Plan on partying on Sunday.

Pearce has done pretty well ve RHPs, but Moreland is still probably a better hitter vs righties. He's looked okay in the post season (in limited duty).

    In Cora I trust.

Pearce has an OPS v RHP of .828 this year; Moreland is at .780-but much of his success at the plate occurred before the ASB. After that his OPS (since July 1) is .597. Thats just not going to cut it. Furthermore, Moreland's ABs don't pass the sniff test lately. He has had a few hits in the playoffs but at times he has looked lost up there, without any plate discipline and unable to catch up to a good fastball.
Play Pearce. Moreland can play as a defensive replacement late in the game.
