    This is the Tigers only trip to Fenway in 2019.

    This still appears to be the lineup for game 1 today.

    Dombrowski said Eovaldi couldn’t straighten his elbow Thursday night, same thing that happened to him last year while with the Rays. Not sure yet if surgery is necessary. They’re confident in starting depth at big league level, unlikely to turn to Darwinzon Hernandez in AA.

    @masslivenews

    The Red Sox are likely to promote top pitching prospect Darwinzon Hernandez for the second game of their doubleheader Tuesday against the Tigers.

    Everybody panic we are at defcon 5 of panic moves the panic is overtaking these panic ridden Soxers.

    Cora says Eovaldi just got out of surgery so no official update yet, but everything he’s heard is that it went well. Velazquez will remain in the rotation to fill Eovaldi’s spot for now. Cora says they can expect 12-15 outs from Velazquez.

    Velazquez is going to start the second game. Sox are being coy about who the 26th man will be for Game 2 but Darwinzon Hernandez is in town. ... Holt will hit between games. He’s making progress. ... Eovaldi came through his procedure as expected.

    They're gonna need another starter behind Velazquez. He's probably limited to a max of 5 innings
    Hal sucks

    Holt will take BP today to test out the new lens for his eye. Also, Cora says Tzu-Wei Lin is their third/emergency catcher. He’s worked briefly with Jason Varitek

    Can't trust anything he says anymore.

    Boyd has 36 K's in 24 innings. Had 13 K's against the Yanks. Batters are hitting .220 so far this season. LHB are hitting .143 so far against him. RHB .243

    Sale seems to throw more pitches this year because he can’t blow it past batters.

    It would be nice if our starters went 7 innings or more

    Decent inning with the 2 K's, but a 2 out walk. 22 pitches is not a good pace, and can be a bullpen burner on a day when you need to extend both the starters and the BP.
