RHP Hector Velazquez (0-2, 3.72) vs RHP David Hess (1-4, 5.34)
Win. Dance. Repeat. Get home at .500. That is all.
Last night Means was tough to hit and went 7 innings. tonight Hess isn't quite so tough. But Velazquez is still a question.
Cora going with 4 lefty bats and what is very likely his best lineup these days--
Beni LF
Betts RF
JDM DH
Moreland 1B
Bogie SS
Devers 3B
Chavis 2B
Bradley CF
Vazquez C
I have ranted mightily against JBJ, but still agree with Cora using him.
81 degrees right now in DC and mostly sunny.

The 2 teams will play out the remaining 52 outs because people paid for tickets and TV is rewarding them, but this game ended in the first inning. It's over no matter what Yogi said.
That out by Villar went 6 inches with an exit velocity of 1mph.
One main thing that Porcello gives the SOX that the other 4 regular starters don't is availability.
That’s just a terrible job by Velazquez.
Enough with the positivity. If anyone thinks that Velasquez, Johnson or Wright will be the answer to the next several months of Red Sox pitching it is time to get real. These guys are and will be nothing but fillers . I know the system is bereft of CHEAP homegrown pitching for , oh say about 10 years or more, so what can DD do? Find a losing team with a need , a decent starter, and fill it.
Chavis appears to be cooling off, while JBJ has been dead for quite a while. Hell, he's decomposing.
