So we retire 24 for Manny but not for Evans?
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

I am all for co-retiring. But if only one I would give it to Dewey.

Sale is supposed to be our ace, yet he seems to get a pass on giving up more HRs than Porcello.
    Lol seriously?
Its half a season. Porcello has been doing it for the last 3 years

Porcello is not our Ace that is the difference. He is our 4th guy. Sale should be in running for CY Young and he looks more like a 4th or 5th guy in the rotation. Also (and I am not saying Sale won't go back to form at some point) but he is showing no (and I mean absolutely fucking none) signs of getting out of this rut..... In fact he is getting worse. At least Porcello went 6 innings last night.

Giving up homers is not a big deal. Somewhere in this thread I mentioned Verlander leads the majors in that category and someone else noted Verlander is second in the majors over the last 3 years. The difference is the Houston righty gives up very few other runs. I think he’s allowed 26 homers this year but only 45 runs overall. Tells me he gives a lot of solo shots.

Porcello has allowed 16 homers but 70 runs. That’s the real problem. Ditto Sale.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough
