9/17 Giants @ Boston -- 36 Years Later a Yastrzemski Plays at Fenway Park

    Game time 7:10 PM

    Logan Webb vs. Nate Eovaldi

I am sure that Carl Yaz will be on hand in the Legends Box to watch Mike.

My apologies for braking Game thread protocol. There goes our playoff chances.

Ah, wasn't initiating today's game thread my job? Well, now that the SOX are out of the PO's, thread etiquet, I guess, is no longer a big deal. Funny though, that you were the one who made the biggest deal about it when it wasn't followed.

I apologize for disregarding GT etiquette. I just wanted to memorialize in the Game Thread that Mike Yaz will be playing at Fenway.

No need to apologize. If there actually was any good MOJO based on this game thread etiquet, it failed miserably this season.

Game thread MOJO failed miserably this season because you guys have been screwing it up all season long.

Forget blaming Dombrowski, Cora, or even the pitchers for our lousy season. I blame the game threaders.

I guess you missed the whole tongue in cheek aspect of that episode. It’s funny how people remember things.

I remember watching Carl as a rookie; now I'll be watching his grandson as a rookie. Damn, I am old.
Btw, it would be great if YAZ appeared in the announcer's booth for an inning tonight. I know he doesn't do that as a rule, but maybe tonight will be an exception.

Bad news Kimmi. I had mcdonalds. Days I have McDonald’s we seem to lose. I couldn’t help it. Was really craving a Big Mac.

Damn, I was looking for the clip from Fever Pitch when Drew Barrymore mispronounces Yastrzemski but I couldn't find it.

What would it take to get Carl and Mike to throw out a first pitch?

I highly doubt that Devers, X-man, and JD finish the season hitting over .300.
