Best guess for a win total this year ? I'm saying 85 which will take a 6-6 finish. 23 games down from 2018. Quite a falling off. The good news is that they will very likely go over .500, but the alternative is still possible with a true death swoon.

Joe West should be loved by Red Sox fans. He was the anti-Larry Barnett.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Since Joe's caboose clearly extends 6' out from his tailgate, should they strap a 1x4 to his waist with a red flag on either end of it to ward off other traffic around 3rd?

Maybe a set of hazard lights off his butt would be better.

Actually I am OK with Joe. I just don't want him or anybody else to get hurt around him.

This is what the esteemed NESN studio crews calls "auditioning for a 2020 starter's role". More like going over Niagara Falls in a barrel I would wager.

    Geezus Joe.

Back in the 50's when I was a young lad, I had one of the first D cell battery powered toy tanks that actually moved on treads and [big feature] fired hard plastic shells out its cannon! This was clearly before the age of child safe toys....he...he...he.

Anyway, If I were to recover that thing and put it down around 3rd base, it would cover about as much ground as Joe West covers out there.

PS If you are wondering about the tank's fate, my little sister poured a bucket of sand into its gears in a completely uncalled for act of vicious sibling rivalry and my poor tank ground to a halt, never to move again.
