I wasn't asking about society. I was asking about professional athletes, specifically baseball. It certainly seems more prevalent with baseball players today. I understand that media is more pervasive, but Bosoxmal and some others may remember that the Boston media was always tough on Boston athletes. Ted Williams was criticized for many things in his personal life. There was no way that the Boston media would have let him or any Red Sox player slide for a Domestic Violence arrest.
