Interestingly, after serving as GM of the Rays, Andrew Friedman went to the big-budget Dodgers and has excelled there as well. Friedman has yet to sign a new contract with the Dodgers for 2020, and his name has come up as a potential candidate for the open Red Sox job -- as has current Rays senior VP Chaim Bloom.

I'd be thrilled with Friedman. If it comes down to dollars, both owners can bid and bid and bid more.

Could we get into a bidding war with the Dodgers? That might be fun.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Jim Hickey. Pitching Coach from 2007-2017. He was huge with those Young arms.
His philosophy was perfect the Change-up.

Freidman has some free time now, well once he fires Roberts and trades Joe Kelly. May as well get the whole band back together with Freidman, Roberts, Maddon (3B coach, lol) and Jim Hickey. TB North in the confines of Fenway Park.

Roberts has been told he's returning.

Sounds like we can probably cross Friedman off the wish list...

So who will emerge as the next hot target of speculation?

Josh Byrnes, who now cannot take over when Friedman departs and has obvious Red Sox ties...
