He's hittable but can get the ball in the zone. He's worth an inning every 2 or 3 days, and can get you two when needed

JDM has swung at that sweeping breaking ball away all year. Still hasn't recognized it nor hit it.
I'd be very surprised if the SOX don't trade JD.
If he doesn't opt out, which I doubt he will do.
More than likely a trading partner would have to come from the AL.
He was such a dominant force last year that it's hard to see him flailing away. Still has stats that most would envy, but they didn't translate to wins.
One advantage for the SOX if JD did opt out would be it would free up a lot of money if the SOX were inclined to go after Cole.
