Managers dismissed (fired or retired) and candidates to replace them

So far the following managers have been dismissed from their previous position:

    AL
    Royals - Ned Yost
    Angels - Brad Ausmus

    NL
    Giants - Bruce Bochy (Retiring)
    Padres - Andy Green
    Pirates - Clint Hurdle
    Cubs - Joe Maddon
    Mets - Mickey Callaway
    Phillies - Gabe Kapler

I don't remember an offseason with so many managers fired like this one and Dave Roberts might join them pretty soon after the way the dodgers were eliminated last night

Somewhere out there, Bud Black is staring at a ringing cell phone, and deciding not to answer it...

Apparently most teams have given up on winning those 1999 division titles, which was the last time Valentine was relevant as a manager...

Not sure who you're referring to.

It's funny how managers just keep getting recycled to other teams.

One man's garbage is another man's gold, I guess.

    Same with players.

Sometimes a change of scenery is good for everyone.

Dave Roberts to keep his job

What about our old friend John Farrell -- any chance he gets one of these jobs? He does have a championship on his resume.

As far as Girardi goes, I have my doubts about Theo hiring him, and the Mets always do something weird. I'm going to take a guess and say Girardi ends up with the Phillies. I'll also predict that J.Maddon is hired by the Angels.
