Miguel Andujar for Kyle Schwarber trade speculation

I read somewhere that this trade was a possibility, I don't know what to think,

I'd like to see Schwarber in YS, but giving up Andujar while his trade value is low it's not a good idea. I don't think is the right timing for the Yankees.
If they want to trade him they should do it for a SP not for another bat (DH)

BTW. Baseballtradevalues.com gives Andujar 27.2 and Schwarber 16.2 in trade value. I know that's not what a GM due to assign value to a player but is a base line for us to simulate some trades.

A very terrible trade. Schwarber is fine, but Andujar has HOF upside.

I thought that was just speculation. Much like Bowden saying Lindor for Andujar, Garcia, and Peraza. I would like Kyle but not at the expense of Andujar.

A more sensible use of Andujar would be the centerpiece of a trade for Jon Gray...

If we trade him it should be for a good SP, i still believe his bat is something special.
I know that by himself won't get us the TOTR pitcher we need but is a nice starting point

What position would Andujar play for the Cubs?
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

This is more bluster. We have enough DH’s, we don’t need to deal off a guy who could be capable of being a 3b one day for a guy incapable of anything in the field.

I do feel Andujar is gonna get moved, though. Reading the tea leaves, I think he will get moved for Jon Gray.

I'll believe that when I see it.

They are trying to extend him, if they can't then will try to trade him.

He's a Boras client, an extension is just a pipe dream, doubt it happens

Yes, and if you get Gray out of Colorado, he might be that pitcher. Do you think Gray isn't any good?

Gray reminds me of Paxton. Elite stuff with intermittent performance concerns and health issues. He is a tantalizing talent, but doesn't see the field enough either due to performance or injury to harness the ceiling. Also, I don't like the idea of dealing Andujar for a rental as Gray is a FA after 2020
    Hal sucks

I like him OK, but he's not in the top tier of SP, he might need a change but he's more like a "2nd tier" SP, more similar to the Paxton level. For me Top tier are only a few pitchers in the league, like Cole, Strasburg, Buehler, deGrom, Scherzer, etc.

I'm not saying he won't be a good trade, but I don't see this trade with the Rockies happening, they have Arenado in 3B and Daniel Murphy in 1b for the next 2 years, maybe moving Andujar to the OF, or sending back Murphy as part of the package might work for the Rockies, too many ifs
