He finished the year healthy last year, so yes he should have a normal off season and will compete for the 5 spot. With German out likely into the summer, I expect JMont to win the job out of ST
German's suspension is the longest for a player not criminally investigated for violence. It's interesting that he's decided not to appeal the suspension, and to accept rehab demands and suggestions, including making donations to a domestic violence group. This has suggested to many that he's ok with and accepts the long suspension.

He doesn't have much of a choice. MLB is punishing this far harsher than in the past. And they should, these are prime athletes who could kill someone with a punch. They shouldn't be hitting women
