    My favorite part of this thread was Jacko’s down year comment.

    Mookie was 26 and slashed .295/.391/.424, won a gold glove, silver slugger and finished top 10 in MVP. That was a down year apparently.

    Well, that's minus two 30 million/year contracts. At least that weight is off. And maybe our man Mookie will be back next year, but right now the thought of a 37 mill per year contract isn't on me mind

    A third team is indeed involved in the deal, per the Boston Globe’s Alex Speier (Twitter link). Verdugo and a player from the third team will go to Boston
