Deivi has a rough game. I didn’t get to watch, but per game cast, he seemed to lack the upper levels of his fastball. He seemed to be throwing almost exclusively 89-90. He varies his FB speed, so seeing him hit 89-90 isn’t out of the ordinary, but he ramps it up to 95 when he needs it. I didn’t see that on the game cast.
Listen, Garcia has power, but he varies the speeds. He’s got a lights out curveball. He’s got a really good change. But he doesn’t have the power to be a fastball first guy like Cole. He really needs the Fb and curve to be effective as his change cannot carry him. It sounds like his velo was down and his breaking ball was flat. He’s gonna get hammered whenever that happens
Cole now looking like the guy they paid for.

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.
The Yankee fans on their forum think this team is horribly constructed and managed.

Kimmi you should really treat yourself some time and check out the game threads when they lose. It's comedy gold. Some of the Yankee fans there are very pessimistic and also quite funny in their own way. They believe that Boone is a puppet who is being told what to do by Cashman and the "Kids in the Hall", a little crew of analytics guys parked in the corridor just outside the dugout.

Streaky as hell. If they go on a hot streak, they can win it all. If they go cold, they’ll be swept. Weird that a team this good can be this bad. Points to a managerial issue
The Yankees 11-18 road record does not portend well for playoff success.

The Yankees simply don't look like the heavy favorites they seemed to be a while back. They are having much trouble putting it all together.
One rough inning, but Deivi cruises from there and gets painted by that puke Ottavino. Offense found their sticks. Good day for sure

ERA isn’t everything and you know it.
Garcia has a 0.8 WAR and 4.15 WHIP in his first 6 starts. That would translate to a 4.0 WAR over 30 starts. Pretty solid, especially considering he just turned 21.
Houck has been lights out, no doubt. He’s also 3 years older than Deivi. and it doesn’t diminish what Deivi has done this year. His only hiccup was agains the Sox, who inexplicably have a player who can only hit breaking balls.
