Judge Has Broken Rib Surgery is Possible

Judge has fractured rib; shut down for 2 weeks

Judge will rest for the next two weeks, and then the team will reassess his status and try to devise a timetable for his return. Boone added that surgery could be an option if needed.

Interesting that Jacko didn't post this the second it was announced.

Judge's rib and Severino's elbow problems each are said to date back to September. One wonders how the massive offseason changeover in the Yankees medical staff played into both of those, apparently, going undiagnosed all offseason.

Medical mysteries are everywhere these days.

A broken rib is a tough one to figure, though.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Talksox reports they'll be playing setback with Stanton and Sale the next two weeks... but Boston fans worried about three Yankees in a card game (not that anyone from NY would ever cheat) anticipate Eovaldi joining them soon, so Chris can have a partner he can trust.

Weird that it went from his shoulder hurting to a broken rib. Ribs typically don't need surgery, and usually take at least a month to heal on their own. But since this supposedly happened in September who knows how far along in the healing process he is.

This season is really annoying and it hasn't even started.

If it happened in September and he’s been lifting heaving all off season, then it didn’t heal.

If they remove the rib (you don’t need the rib), then he’ll miss 8 plus weeks. If rest works this time around, he will likely be out the first two weeks of the season

Maybe they can do something about his fugly face at the same time.
    Priorities:
    1. Yankees lose
    2. Red Sox win
