It's after about mid September that the number of daily deaths starts rising, and that's based on continued easing of restrictions. It seems like most states are backing down on their easing of restrictions.

Look at the projection if masks are worn. It looks much, much better. All is not grim, but people do need to start wearing masks, and businesses need to start enforcing the wearing of masks.
The part that is grim is that beginning in October they are forecasting a sharp upswing in daily deaths for many states. When people are back indoors its a problem. We need to shut down the heavily infected areas and reopen them only when the infection rate is manageable. Or we will pay a heavy price.

VOTE: Martin County public mask mandate passes unanimously with a long list of exemptions, including schools, camps, exercise and — in a last second addition — houses of worship.

We just broke the record, again, here in Texas: 10,000 new cases. (NY is the only other state to ever hit 10,000 in a single day- back in April.)
We had 2 days of big drops over the holiday weekend, so maybe today's numbers captured some of those not counted.

We've more than doubled our deaths per million between late May and now.

Who knows what will happen when schools are forced to open.

No new deaths in CT today! Wow! More than an immaterial rise in hospitalizations, however.

I don't know what is going on in Arizona. They had 117 deaths today. Arizona's highest previous daily total was 39 and yesterday's total was 3. Maybe they had a one time re-characterization or correction.

Arizona Daily Hospitalizations remain extremely low:

Maybe the holiday weekend put off the count to this day.

Texas deaths have been super low to average compared to infections. Even before the last few weeks. Makes me wonder.
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
    In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
    In our yellow submarine

The positive rate has been around 13.5% for some time.

Our cases are going up. We went to 10,000, today- way over the previous high.

    Hospitalizations keep climbing.

    Death rates are rising.

Still no roll backs on what has been opened, except bars and lowering restaurants from 75 to 50% capacity.

Gyms, pools water parks still open.

The governor is leaving the school decisions to the districts but they have to open in some form. There is more guidance given to restaurants and bars than schools.
