When you say it's gonna happen now
When exactly do you mean?
It's not just the vaccines, but they are also finding better ways to treat patients. They have a better idea of what type of treatment works for certain types of symptoms and patients. And this continues to improve every day.
They should be able to start treating symptoms earlier where even fewer people have to be hospitalized.
Waiting for a vaccine is a foolish strategy, as I have said before. As of right now there are two drugs that have been found to help: remdesivir and dexamethasone. Thats it. The correct strategy is to shut things down in all areas where the virus is prevalent-and possibly everywhere else-and reopen logically this time. Thats it. But I am certainly open to hearing other suggestions besides waiting for a vaccine on a white horse or useful therapies to emerge.
We creeped up for the 3rd straight day to 2.01 on the 7 day rolling average. That's the highest point since June 19th, except for the time a readjustment was made in late June.
With daily cases still rising, I'm pretty sure this is more than just a blip. Deaths lag behind surging new cases and hospitalizations. New cases spiked again. It is at 66,000- 3,000 more than the record set, yesterday.
Our 4 day total deaths is 3,692. That's the highest since June 9-12 (3,811).
