I need to try that. It sounds up my alley.

I'm doing burgers a couple times a week now and like to play around with what I use. So if any of you have certain recommendations let them fly.

A friend of mine use to add in onion soup mix to his burgers. I tried that one time, but added to much and it was gross. Also I didn't have the right cheese, I think something like gruyere would be best with it.

While I do not agree they are better than pickles, I do agree they are certainly an outstanding option.

Got me thinking - do you think or have you ever tried anchovies as a burger topping?

When I first read this I thought you might be huffing paint, but now thinking it over I can almost picture picture it. I think the texture would be good, and would add a healthy earthy kind of taste. I don't see mustard of ketchup going along with sprouts, but may some kind of light seasoning, maybe a semi sweet Japanese sauce or something.

Never on a burger. I don't see it working. I've had pizza burgers with tomato sauce and cheese and pepperoni. I'm just not seeing anchovies working.

How about a caper and mayo combination?

mvp marches to a different drummer, even with burgers.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Onions on a regular burger are a must.

Potato chips are also good on burgers.

    No mayo.

I've had burgers with those on them, I like them too.

I've also had burgers with onion rings on them, those are awesome too, just not something I'd make at home. I hate frying stuff at home.

I absolutely love Heinz 57 and A1 sauce. Those are both great on burgers, when doing so I skip any other condiments and just load that stuff up on the burger.

I have never had A1 or any BBQ sauce for that matter, and I refuse to. To me, the idea of putting that stuff on any kind of food is gross

That is quite an unusual stance against condiments. I don't think I've ever heard that before.

I also like my salads with no dressing. But, I am a little obsessed with ketchup, and I've grown to accept mayo on sandwiches and burgers, but I wouldn't put it on anything myself. If it comes on something I order at a restaurant, that's fine.

You know that is a bit odd right? Do you know where or how you got this sauce phobia from?
