Remember when Heinz created all those colored ketchups? Green, yellow, purple. Any others?

They tasted exactly the same, but for some reason seeing green or purple on my hamburger and soaking into the bun just looked so wrong and unappetizing. The red color was just as fake and probably just as chemically enhanced, but just looked so normal and comforting.

Do you ever forget that Amazon's Alexa is not a real person , and try to have a conversation? It doesn't work. She / It can only say what has been programmed in . Don't ask her / it anything else . Artificial intelligence is overrated.

Mine is a long down and out crack addict living on the streets in the Tenderloin in San Francisco.

I tried to add lettuce to my shopping list today, and it told me it would shank me if it could get it's hand on me.
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
    In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
    In our yellow submarine

No. I don't even own a cell phone, and I'm an accountant.

I don't either. I just never thought I'd have much use for it, I can turn on the lights myself.

I'm surprised to hear that you don't have a cell phone, not that there's anything wrong with that. I just got a smart phone about 1 1/2 years ago. I am always late to the party when it comes to technology.

What has the world come to when we need a device to turn the lights off for us? LOL

I don’t really have one. But I do suspect the Alexa will lead the Robot Revolution when the time comes...

As an engineer, I’m too often exposed to those who only have cutting edge tech and often look down on those of us who are Economic Fast Followers. “You have an iPhone 8. Why not just bang two rocks together?”

I hate telephones, period. So paying a bunch extra for one would really hurt.

I think cell phones are one of the greatest scams ever enacted on consumers. Brilliant, really. Just an incredible money maker for the service providers.

I have in-laws that are like that. I think it is against their religion to own anything for longer than 2 years before buying a new one. I have no problem with that, but I don't need the comments on something like a pair of shoes that I've had for 5 years or more that are perfectly good.
