Were those announcers watching that game? That ball was borderline at best and I cannot fault the ump for calling it a ball at all.

I would guess there were a lot of borderline calls that game that went against Strasburg. That one didn't seem all that egregious. And certainly not enough to get ejected over...

Those were the Mets announcers too.

    They aren’t making them up.

It would be so nice if the Rays have the Yankees number this year. Tonight feels like a big game.

Cole at 99 pitches after 6. Will that be all for him?

    How about that Thom Brennaman?

I haven't watch it yet. Obviously he was caught on a hot mic, but was an accidental slip or was he purposely saying something derogatory?

Oh, it was definitely said on purpose.

Lol, I just found it. If he was referring to KC, that statement is debatable at best. Wonder what he thinks San Francisco is, if KC is the capital

I am more of a Rays fan right now than I have ever been.

    Kick the Yankees' asses, boys!

His apology is catching him even more flak, but I can at least credit him that he is not reading a written statement in a press conference or from a teleprompter, and apparently he tried to do one off the cuff while live on air (even calling a Nick Castellanos home run mid-apology).

Still, he is supposed to be a grown man...

There are some really fun teams to watch this year, besides the Red Sox, I mean. LOL

The Padres come to mind first and foremost. I haven't watched a whole lot of them, but from what I've seen, they are having a great time. Orsillo announcing their games is an added bonus.

The most confusing team is the Phillies. They went out and got bullpen help, but they have the second worst record in the NL. They might consider selling over buying..

Certainly questionable. But when they made the trade, they still had 63.3% of this weird season left.

When the Sox are like this it takes much of the excitement out of the season. The Rays have a good team and a certain " underdog " appeal . In the N.L. , I always root for the Cubs . I see them as the N.L. version of the Sox , right down to the finally broken "curse " .
