Been awhile everyone, Perez seems to be the classic pitch to contact type of pitcher, doesn’t look so good to start

Good when it works, duck when it doesn’t.

Perez is going to be some fun this summer. Back to the good old days of Sox pitchers who cannot get through the first inning.. Devers in prime form too, 2 games, 2 errors.

I was at a Mets game last year when they PH a guy who was a MILB call up and the opposing manager over shifted on him. He was not a big prospect in the Mets system. I remember that he was known as a very light hitter. I can’t even remember his name, because he hasn’t been heard from since.

Managers copycat everything. Lots of managers are batting their big sluggers in the #2 hole. I am not going to dispute the stats with Kimmi, but it is obvious that managers all follow the current trends. They would all be using Openers too, but it would piss off their starting pitchers. Cowardly sheep.

This offense is gonna have to click today. The pitching is gonna be pathetic. This starting rotation was a huge concern coming in.

Hopefully the offense can dig them out.

Devers needs to make that play, not sure why he was hesitating there.

He’ll be on the IL before the middle of August and we’ll be stuck at 2 starters.

He was good in the field last year. He needs reps.

Surprised they didn’t go with Kyle Hart as a starter.

Johnson and Godley are stretching out right now.
