    Waiver claims

Folty passed through the waiver wire. Why are we not making a play here. Yes his velo dropped but so did his weight! Get him to right the ship and look into 2021 with him!

Maybe the salary pushes the Sox too close to the reset limit? (The Sox take the whole deal on a waiver over claim.) Maybe the velocity loss was too much. Atlanta didn’t DFA him solely because of one tough outing. It is possible they knew what they were doing and everyone else figured it out shortly after.

And if the Sox do like him, he is 99% likely to be non-tendered this off-season...

Sox would only be obligated for the MLB minimum; other issues may be in play
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

Yes, if they sign him after Atlanta releases him. Had they claimed him, they would be on the hook for his pro-rated salary...

And he’s not worth the 6M price tag right now.

Especially if the season does not reach August 31 in order to make the reset official.

And right now, it looks unlikely to make it to August 31. Or even August 4th...

Virus cases continue to spike. MLB doing a poor job of keeping the players safe.

    This could get ugly!
