Next 12 games are all Rays/Jays/Yanks

Just checked the score. I see we are
Showing no life! Perfect. We got them right where we want them.

The more I watch, the more I see the wisdom of Roenicke's approach. There is absolutely no panic in the man because he knows what we fans sometimes forget. It's a long season. Come June, the pieces will begin to fall into place. I think the players are really buying into that approach. By August this rough start will be a distant memory.

By August, people won’t even be posting in gamethreads anymore.

Rays have good pitching and our offense relies on a few players. Same old same old. Beni's now 2 for 28 and counting, with 11 strikeouts. JBJ is starting to slump, Chavis's hitting hasn't improved. So what's new?

Looks like a Barnes 9th inning.

Kyle Snyder is the pitching coach of the Rays?

No reason to swing at the end of the game Beni.

Stupid. Tonight was still one more example that this team is unmanageable--that is, if the the goal of the manager is to win games. In one of the Yankee games, I think jacksonianmarch claimed the Sox can't hit fastballs at 95 mph or more. About right.

Sums up the season though. The Rays got 3 huge breaks (Martinez’s double hopping into the stands, the missed strike three and the catwalk foul pop up) and took advantage of all of them. The Sox couldn’t get a hit with anyone in scoring position.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough
