    Inciarte CF
    Verdugo RF
    Bogaerts SS
    Devers 3b
    Martinez DH
    Dalbec 1b
    Renfroe LF
    Vazquez C
    Hernandez 2b

    ERod, Odorizzi, Eovaldi, Perez, Pivetta

Barnes, Brasier, Hernandez, Taylor, Houck, Andriese, Whitlock, Wright?/Brice?/Valdez?

BN: Plawecki,Arroyo, LHH bat (Miller? Moreland?),4th OF?
Let's say we just get cash and a minor leaguer thrown in with Inciarte, and sign Odorizzi, Colome and maybe Marisnick as a 5th OF'er & late inning defensive replacement in LF.

We'd still have a decent team.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

I think we got Richards in a $10 mil one year deal so wouldn't we now be looking for a CF and a closer?

Richards signing was such a big deal that it didn’t even merit its own thread.

Trade Beni for a closer or CF'er and sign a FA to the other open slot.

Maybe sign Marisnick as a 5th OF'er/D replacement.

Instead of a CF'er or RP'er or two?

We probably can't do it all, unless we skimp.

Looks like the roster is finally taking shape.

It's not exactly what I hoped for, but I'm not bummed out, either.

At the start of every softball season after age 40 when asked if I was in shape my answer was, "round is a shape". That is how I feel about the shape of the Red Sox Roster right now. It is taking a shape.

Sox has assembled some high ceiling guys in rotation. At the very least they all need to remain healthy to have any shot at reaching their potential.

We all know what can happen when things go south health wise.

    2019 Starting Rotation

    Sale
    Price
    E Rod
    Eovaldi
    Porcello

On paper THAT looked great coming off the world championship season.

No, not instead of. My top 2 priorities right now are adding another starting pitcher who is less of a health risk than what we have and a defensive oriented CFer. That said, reports are that the Sox are looking for a left handed bench bat, someone to platoon with Dalbec.

I think there are still 1-3 moves coming.

Our rotation could potentially be very good. Obviously, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding them, but if they can stay healthy, they can be good.

It would be nice to add a #3/4 type who doesn't have question marks surrounding his health.
