At least two candidates -- Pirates bench coach Don Kelly and Yankees bench coach Carlos Mendoza -- have had second interviews in person with the club, according to Speier. According to a major-league source, Diamondbacks Luis Urueta -- who interviewed both during this cycle and when the Red Sox were hiring in January -- is out of the running.

Hopefully Luis gets a chance with some other team.

Alex Cora met in person with Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom and GM Brian O’Halloran last Friday - but the Red Sox search process continues.

That's encouraging for those of us in the ani-Cora club. So me and me only

There were others who had ill will towards Cora because of his handling of the starting pitching staff at the beginning of 2019. You are not alone.

    Man. Only 53.

When people younger than yourself pass away, it seems to hit harder.

    RIP, Rheal.
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

It hits even harder when it’s somebody you knew. I lost one of my ND roommates earlier this year (non-Covid). That was a real punch in the gut.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

I had a former college roommate pass away about 18 months ago, before there was any talk of COVID. Had not seen him in a long, long time, but it was very weird to think about...
