That sounds like the right attitude to have!

My extended family was disappointed not to see me this year, as it was my last Christmas in CT. I mean, it's not like they won't ever see me again (next year I'll be 90 minutes away in Greater Boston), but there's that feeling of the end of life as we know it, in case 2020 didn't give them enough of that feeling. I get why they're bittersweet. I'll see them at Christmas and Thanksgiving, but maybe not the smaller birthday celebrations and other get togethers

We had a zoom Christmas Eve night and again Christmas afternoon.

It's certainly not the same, but it was fine.

There are a few perks- no airports, tarmacs, and costs. It's also nice to sleep in your own bed.

We have a lot to be thankful for. Looking for the positives helps me get through this mess.
